Syracuse Violin Studio
Andrew Zaplatynsky

Andrew Zaplatynsky
Concertmaster Emeritus
Syracuse Symphony Orchesrtra
My teaching experience includes Syracuse University, Fundación Universitaria Juan N. Corpas (Bogotá, Colombia), and currently I teach at Hobart & William Smith Colleges (Geneva, NY), Onondaga Community College, and Hamilton College (Clinton, NY).

As performing violinist I have been a member of the Rotterdam Philharmonic (The Netherlands), Minnesota Orchestra, Detroit Symphony (Ass't Concertmaster), Cincinnati Symphony (Associate Concertmaster), and in 2011 I concluded a 30 year tenure as concertmaster of the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra. Since the time when the SSO ceased operations (April, 2011), I have been called upon to perform as concertmaster for the Syracuse Opera and the successor organizations to the SSO, Symphony Syracuse and Symphoria.

I teach violin to help students make music. The ultimate goal is always music.
